Fall Isn’t Very Far Away
September 29, 2008
This weekend was a very busy one for me and DH. There were social obligations and much tiredness afterwards. It was so physically exhausting that today has been one of those much needed quiet days for me. About the only thing of interest and importance done today has been me applying for jobs and making important calls concerning the (hopeful) loan for the house and catching up on calls for said job applications. No housework has been done. Since housework is never actually “done” I don’t feel so bad for not having done anything today. Tomorrow it will be “done” and everything else will begin again.
Today has been one of those days where quiet and sunshine have mixed for an almost meloncholy day. Lately I have begun to notice that when I am extremely tired, like yesterday, the next day has me in an almost gray funk that lasts a day or two until my energy is back up, and then I am fine until the next time I am physically exhausted. It is a cycle, but, at this point, it is not a vicious one. This I can live with.
DH isn’t going to be home any time soon. A friend of his (ours, I suppose) has had surgery on his arm. He is not supposed to drive for the next two or three weeks. This means DH must go and pick up said friend’s seven year old son and take him to soccer practice tonight, stay with him, and then take said son back home to said parents. Hopefully DH can get some rest while he is there.
When time permits, I have been reading a novel by J.A. Jance called Until Proven Guilty. It is the first novel in the series. It is also a series I am going to try my best and read. Jance is fast becoming one of my favorite novelists.
